Let me know if you guys come across any new or reported/un-fixed bugs in r60962. I'm going to brand this as v1.2 and post an update to curse/wowinterface if it's clean :).

My next goals are to add player status icons (resting, leader, etc.) to the player health bar and try to get it clickable for changing loot, dropping groups, etc. After that I'll investigate DogTag integration with the DruidMana bar and potentially adding elite/rare dragon icons above target health bars for those types of targets.

Well, there's only one thing left i can see that need to be "fixed" if it's a bug. the Pet's health upper text not being anchored in the right place and not moving.
Can't say anything about pet's mana, mine has focus, and didn't set any tags there.

Pet health/mana(/focus) text values tweaked in r60962. The default value should have upper text filled in instead of the lower text and the upper text block is no longer anchored to the bar. Should behave like all other bars now.

hey the addon is prefect for me runs great i only have one issue with it and thats i cant "right click" myself like i do on the player frame of blizzard. i wish you would have this in the center of the hud so i could leave and join grps and change loot types by just right clicking my name in the center of the hud. archud2 has it and it would be great to implement it its really the only thing thats missing from this hud... other then that its perfection.. again thanks a lot

I'd like to add this feature at some point, I'm just trying to figure out a good way to do it. Would you rather right-click on top of the player health bar or in the middle of the hud or what?

The technical reason why this isn't implemented already is because you can't add click-targeting/right-click menus to a "status bar" widget since those are both protected commands. Those functions can only be accessed through a secure "button" widget which is what the TargetInfo module is made out of. However, I think I'm going to lay an invisible button on top of the player health status bar and get a right click menu that way :).

    1. DogTag editable text for the target info frame like there is for all the other text frames.

Added in r60904. 3 lines of dogtag-editable text are available for the targetinfo module. Default data should be mostly the same as without dogtag installed.

    2. Built in Fubar plugin, i know there's one separate available on WAU but :)

Not likely to happen...I spent some time working on this and it's just too tough with the way the addon is currently put together. I can get the FuBar/Minimap plugin working no problem, but it adds a "profiles" menu that functions, but technically means nothing for the addon because of how it's coded. It also adds a second "Enabled" toggle button that doesn't function. It's not worth it to convert the entire addon to make it fit into this plugin (as much as I'd like to).

This is still on my to-do list as per your earlier report.

On a tangent, it appears the current IceHUD version works fine on 2.4 PTR. Hooray!

Imba, well, that's just funny, alpha seems ok, everything goes invisible but when you look carefully (almost nose on screen), the player's and pet's information (in my case all information related to player are on the left) are barely visible like if the alpha was at 0.1, not invisible. :)

Just edited my post about the alpha fix. I noticed this just before seeing your post ;).

I've noticed something else, when updating my DogTags, i've noticed that i had to reloadui for my updates to take effect, not a big deal, just though you might wanna know it.
In my case it was for a very small update, change Status to ~Status.

    Fixed in r60868.

r60867 fixes all reported text alpha problems with dogtag strings. (almost...see edit 2)

edit: it also splits "lock text alpha" settings into lock upper and lock lower settings. It was previously impossible to lock lower text alpha to 100%. Note that this change will probably cause anyone who's un-checked "lock text alpha" in the past to have that setting reset for upper text only.

edit 2: r60877 fixes a problem where setting a bar to 0 alpha would make the text slightly visible (10% alpha, to be precise)

    * The Metahud has an awesome feature for warriors where it shows sunder armour applications like combo points. Would this be something that could be added to Ice ?

Added a SunderCount module in r60851 that behaves just like ComboPoints for rogues. Should show up in the /icehud module list for warriors.

Gonna update and try it right now, in the meantime i recieved this error, but can't reproduce it.

    [2008/02/10 21:42:15-6104-x1]: IceHUD-1.1 (59024)\IceBarElement.lua:625: attempt to index field 'barVisible' (a nil value)

That was fixed in the same submission that added visibility options to the mirror bar. I found a case where that could happen and shouldn't be able to any more. If you're able to repro after updating, let me know :).

Something else i've noticed, i have all those visible options checked, alpha of bars and background set to be invisible OOC (at 0%), now i'm at full health, full mana, no target selected, the bars are correctly invisible but the text remains on screen. (All my "lock bar text alpha" are unchecked)

Probably the same alpha bug that Jesamyn reported.

I think you forgot to add those 2 options (Bar visible, BG bar visible) for the Mirror bar handler.

Other than that, works flawlessly :)

r60837 adds bar/bg options to mirrorbar and the 2 castbars. Also shuffled the visibility options to show up after Enabled and made them un-checkable when the bar is disabled

'Lock bar text alpha' seems to have gotten altered in r60758 (maybe a revision or two before, but that's the one where I noticed it). Even if this option is not ticked, the text stays at 100%.

This is most likely the DogTag tags taking over and setting alpha. I'll look for a way to sidestep it. Thanks :).

i deleted and reinstalled Pitbull, DogTag-1.0/DogTag-2.0, and IceHUD, latest versions via WAU... no joy. Pitbull continues to work, but IceHUD just delivers plain frame text (though this could be a consequence of DogTag being disabled in the latest/greatest IceHUD in the last day or so).

Yep, I completely disabled DogTag in IceHUD so that it wouldn't appear to be responsible for breakage :P.

    Quote from acapela »

without altering anything else about my configuration, i then deleted just IceHUD, and manually installed IceHUD-r60583.zip from http://files.wowace.com/IceHUD/ (dated 2008/02/07, just a couple of days ago, and the TOC of which declares the version to be 59024, dated 2008/01/20). this appears to be the most recent available version of IceHUD, pre-60642.

That's from before the DogTag removal :). Ckknight fixed the problem in DogTag this morning so the old versions of IceHUD started working again. (the DogTag breakage was discussed here: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=11177.20)

everything is now fine: Pitbull works, my IceHUD custom DogTag text works, and etc.

i will continue updating IceHUD via WAU, as new versions become available. if they don't work for me, i will revert to 60583.

I've just checked in r60747 with DogTag turned back on and its implementation tweaked a bit to be slightly more optimized. Everything seems golden now.

Thanks everyone for your help in tracking this down!

The stack overflow has been fixed. Try removing your namespacing and report any issues that come up. :)

Thanks, I just updated and my addons play nicely again. :)
