I received some reports of breakage with my addon saying that it didn't play well with Pitbull. Turned out since they both use DogTag, whichever one got loaded first worked fine and the other threw up errors. In particular, my addon was "causing" Pitbull's frames to be big white blotches with no text whatsoever.

Adding a namespace to the end of my DogTag calls alleviated the white blotches and allowed pitbull to work normally, but still caused the C stack overflow error to come up nonstop and my custom DogTag strings to not show. I'm guessing there's a problem with multiple addons that don't specify namespaces or even one that doesn't. I had to temporarily disable all DogTag usage from my mod until this is repaired. I'll keep my eye on this thread :).

Anyone else having an issue with the latest IceHUD? I just updated via WoWAceUpdater, and suddenly Pitbull stopped working properly (my target unit frame, for instance, just showed up as a white outline; no text, no bars, just an outline). Removed IceHUD, and it worked fine.

For the record, removing Pitbull makes IceHUD work fine as well as the other way around :P. It would seem that DogTag is no longer handling multiple addons using it any more. I hope it gets fixed soon.

For some reason I don't see this version -- when I go to http://files.wowace.com/IceHUD/, the most recent version is 60583.1

It takes a few minutes for the website to build a zip out of each submission. It'll show up shortly.

edit: in fact, it's up now :)

I've just checked in r60642 which skips all DogTag code and goes back to the old text behavior. Once DogTag is repaired, I'll re-enable it. In the meantime, you can use IceHUD and Pitbull together in harmony.

For those that are interested, the reason my addon breaks with the DogTag changes and Pitbull doesn't is because pitbull uses FontStrings while I'm just calling :Evaluate every time the text needs to change. Apparently there's a problem with Evaluate and the new dogtag changes. Sorry for the troubles...I'm just glad it's not my fault :).

Good news, I'm now having the same problem (after only a DogTag update, not an update to IceHUD). After chatting with people on IRC, it appears that DogTag has changed its usage recently for addons...I should be able to push out a fix in the next 30mins or so.

The latest IceHUD version that doesn't use DogTag is 59018 (http://files.wowace.com/IceHUD/IceHUD-r59018.zip). You should be able to grab that version and use it just fine until DogTag gets fixed. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about this without removing the DogTag code in IceHUD (which is tempting at this point :P).

60273, 60538, and 6-567 all resulted in this. Those odd-looking boxes are Pitbull's target and player frames, and that's not what they're supposed to look like.

Deleting LibDogTag-2.0 in IceHUD\libs did nothing that I can see; didn't even get rid of the error message.

I'm not sure which build I was last using that wasn't causing a problem, but taking a guess at the last time I updated, I'm going to assume it was in the vicinity of 59456.

If I can be of any more help, let me know.

And I should point out, I also updated Pitbull at the same time, so I don't know which is actually causing the problem.

This is caused by the DogTag library breaking. I really appreciate you trying out those other versions for me, but it looks like another addon has a newer/broken version of DogTag that my addon is picking up on. I'll ping the guys in the IRC channel for some help, but at this point I don't think there's much I can do to help.

Man, this is really worrying me...I just installed pitbull and icehud fresh on my second computer and it's behaving normally, just like my main pc is...crap. If you're getting a DogTag error, you can try deleting the LibDogTag folder from IceHud/Libs and see what happens...but somehow I doubt that. Would you guys mind downloading older versions of icehud to see which one introduced the problem?

I hate to have to get someone else to do this, but I can't reproduce any of the reported breakage here...the old IceHUD builds are available here: http://files.wowace.com/IceHUD/

edit: try out build 60273 (http://files.wowace.com/IceHUD/IceHUD-r60273.zip) and then build 60538 (http://files.wowace.com/IceHUD/IceHUD-r60538.zip) to see if that's the problem. The only other one that I could even fathom causing a problem is 60567 (http://files.wowace.com/IceHUD/IceHUD-r60567.zip). If those all behave similarly, this could be a newly-updated library issue.

EDIT: I've now gone and emptied both the WTF and AddOns directories. No mods left. I went to WoWAceUpdater and installed PitBull and IceHUD with dependencies (no other mods), and even at the default settings, I'm getting the exact same problem.

Thanks for the extensive report and sorry about the troubles. I'll look into this as soon as I can.

No problems here; I played for a long time last night with pitbull and icehud and didn't have problems. Can you try reinstalling pitbull and icehud via WAU instead of just updating them? I'm not sure how these two could be conflicting :(.

    * Support for target raid icons in the buff/debuff area. This may already be there but I thought I saw someone mention that it wasn't.

There's already support for raid icons on the TargetInfo module, but since I prefer to play without that module, I've also added this option to the TargetHealth bar. These should be on by default but are configurable for TargetHealth only. This was added in r60583.

I'm trying to get a Jira project opened for IceHUD to track these bugs. I'm glad you're finding them all, Kyron! :)

Still useable through the /icehud so no big deal

I just fired this up and I have no idea what this error means or how to fix it :P. I'm going to have to harass someone on wowace IRC to help me out, heh.

Submitted r60567 - makes IceHUD console configuration work and makes it show up in rock config.

say i set the bars to alpha 0, invisible OOC, and shapeshift, the druid mana bar is still visible, while all other bars are correctly hidden.

    Thanks, I'll take a look.
