Is it on purpose that we can't enter any text for the druid mana bar lower/upper text even if the textboxes are there, but greyed ?

Yes. These values aren't provided by WoW's UI, they are computed by the addon to give an estimation. DogTag customization is available to pull DruidMana out if you're running LibDruidMana, but since I didn't want to add yet another library, I just left those boxes grayed out. I suppose adding LibDruidMana wouldn't be that big of a deal.

r60564 gets rid of the brown blend for health. There's now a max, mid, and min color for health and mana. Health's mid color defaults to yellow and mana's mid color is a purpleish color that's between blue and pink.

I don't know if it's correct to do this but hopefully it is.

Take a look at how DaHUD Target's Info frame is made maybe it will help, i know it allows DogTag editing, not sure to remember about Buffs borders.

I don't know if Benumbed is still around and if so, working on DaHUD or not, but it might be a solution

I understand how the targetinfo stuff is written for IceHUD, that's not the issue. Unfortunately, it's broken up into individual frames for every piece of data...which means that editing all of it at once via dogtag is quite impossible. I'd have to rewrite how it's setup to display data. I can have a bunch of dogtag-enabled lines that allow you to customize the pvp indicator, health indicator, guild indicator, etc. in tiny changes, but as far as changing the overall look of the frame, it's not currently coded to play nicely with customization.

    * Support for the player's status icons (party leader, resting, PvP flagged, etc.) ...

    * Support for target raid icons in the buff/debuff area. ...

I'd like to add those too. That was one of my favorite features of DHUD when I used it and something I think IceHUD could really benefit from. I'm going to look into this whenever I get more time :).

    * Color blending to avoid the brown ...

I'm still looking into the color blending issue since Kyron brought it up; I hope to have a better solution for this soon.

Also, it looks like the HUD will look for certain addons and take advantage of them if they are there. Is there a list of these "compatible addons" anywhere? Just digging around in the code I saw Threat and RangeCheck but I'm wondering if there are more?

I'm unaware of any extra compatible addons out there...I know the threat meter was written by another guy altogether and I was actually unaware of the RangeCheck addon myself :P.

About 5, i don't really understand, i was copy pasting my tag there (ex: player health/text settings/lower text), and adding a few things, like finishing it manually but i couldn't type anymore, so i finished my tag in notepad, pasted the whole thing and everything was in, dunno.

That's really odd. Probably not much I can do about it. Glad you got it working! :)

About the other features request, i'd say 2-3 are purely helpfull/cosmetic, most importants being 1-4.

2 and 3 I would like to do myself. 1 and 4 are both part of the TargetInfo module which neither Iceroth nor I wrote. I took a quick glance in there and it's coded differently than the rest of the addon, so if the original author (or any other user ;)) wants to submit those changes, I'd be happy to integrate them. I don't think I'll be messing with it though.

    6. An option to hide the bars, only let the text be shown :)

Heh, easy enough. I will do this too.

I have a few features request:

    1. DogTag editable text for the target info frame like there is for all the other text frames.
    2. Built in Fubar plugin, i know there's one separate available on WAU but :)
    3. Rock Config compatibility so IceHUD show up there and can be setup from there.
    4. CyCircled combatibles buffs/debuffs display, or if impossible get the border from the Interface/Tooltip folder

    5. Is it a bug or intented but there's a limit to the lenght of the text tags we can type in.

I'll see what I can do whenever I get some free time. 1,2, and 3 are probably easy-ish...just need to research how FuBar and Rock work. 4 I'm not sure about but we'll see.

5: you mean the dogtag-enabled blocks for health/mana %? I was unaware there was a limitation there.

Yes that is what i mean, but not a fade out affect i mean you should see the Bar shrinking.

This is checked in as r60538. You should be able to download the latest build and enable this option on each individual bar. It defaults off, but should work for player health/power, target health/power, and pet health/power.

    * The colour blending seems, well hmm a little weird, going from Bright Green (full HP) to bright Red (low HP) it kinda turns this icky brown and ends up rather dark in the middle. Don't know if there is much you can do around that though.

Most mods have 3-4 different colors they blend between in order to avoid the brownish color in the middle. I had considered it, but just wanted to get some form of scaling in. I may change to having several colors in the future.

    Quote from Namsar »

    * The scaledHPcolour and scaledManacolour's arn't editable, and was kinda confusing when I tried to edit them over and over, and have it go no where *doh*

Whoops, yeah, I didn't realize those colors showed up in the editable list...they exist solely to avoid extra memory in the addon when computing the scaled values. I'll see if there's a way to remove them from the color list. In the mean time, the colors you're looking for are Max/MinHealthColor and Max/MinManaColor. Sorry about the confusion :).

    * The Metahud has an awesome feature for warriors where it shows sunder armour applications like combo points. Would this be something that could be added to Ice ?

This doesn't sound too difficult...I'll put it on my to-do list.

Yes that is what i mean, but not a fade out affect i mean you should see the Bar shrinking... like Dahud for example, when you get hit you SEE the bar is going smaller.

I understand what you mean. I'll see what I can do.

I totaly love your HUD! Its simple, its easy to configure!

Theres only one thing, could you add a animated falloff for the Bars? That would be awsome!!

(I hope you understand what i mean, my english is bad) :)

You mean fade out the portion of the bar that was lost when you get hit, spend mana/energy, etc? Or do you mean somehow animate the bar itself?

Actually, it wasn't the limits that were the problem, but that I'm not seeing the offset sliders at all under the [options -> module settings -> CastBar -> Text Settings] entry.

Ahhh...I understand. I've submitted a change with these options added to the cast bar in r60273. My bad! Thanks for pointing it out :).

    Quote from flammiebc »

As for the text blocks, I'm basically just trying to insert a space or two in front of the upper block; to indent it, in a sense. The prepend modifier worked fine with actual text as an argument, but trying to figure out how to have it read in properly with just spaces.

Gotcha. I just tried this and don't see any way to do it with the addon as-is, so let me look into some options for adding spaces. I'll post here when I've figured something out.

    - Is it possible to extend the horizontal / vertical offsets to the castbar text?

Certainly. The limits were picked pretty arbitrarily, though for me the limits set were more than enough for the text to reach the top of the bar or the bottom. I can widen them a bit if you like. What are you trying to accomplish? Perhaps we can find another way to solve it :).

    Quote from flammiebc »

    - Is there a way to offset the upper and lower text fields in the text fields? I tried using the prepend() tag with blank space in it, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Hmm...you mean you want to separate the upper and lower text blocks vertically from each other or you're just trying to add spaces in front of or after the text? Adding spaces ought to work, but we can't currently split them away from each other. I can add that functionality if it's something you'd like to have.

I just added this option the other day. Check the "text horizontal offset" and "text vertical offset" sliders available for each health/power bar. This should provide what you're looking for.

...but then after your post, I realized it wasn't in the "text settings" subset, it was on the bar itself (in the options screen). So I've moved the sliders into the "text settings" subset in r59418. :)

Hi, I love this addon. I just have a slight issue with the texts. I'd like the actual bars to be rather tight together, but if I minimize the spacing, the text underneath for health & mana (12k/14k etc) will overlap each other. Will there be an option to change x & y positioning for text at some point, or am I forever doomed to have spaced bars? :p
