Well, switching to Git means my working copy with SVN externals now doesn't work, so I considered coping out the widgets I use only to find the lib is flagged All Rights Reserved :o
I designed ClassLoot knowing that people would use it in all different kinds of ways, but personally I just use the ratings as a glance overview of what class/specs the item appears to be designed for (stuff like working out if it's a dpswarr/rogue/feraldruid item) for example without having to think about what stats are there. It won't check who will benefit the most out of it, but will give a good idea if the right kind of person is rolling for it :)
I think a couple of us that use(d) PT3 for the InstanceLoot* sets created our own sets in lieu of a final decision being made on what would happen with the "official" PT3 sets. In ClassLoot i have PT3-Raidloot.lua which has a RaidLoot.* set for all raid instances with just itemid's and not drop rates.
Is it just me, or does CC4 keep creating a desktop shortcut for itself? It's sort of annoying. When I throw an icon in the bin I expect it to stay there, LOL. ;)
Tools -> Options, uncheck the option to automatically add a shortcut to desktop.
I think my point might have been missed a little, it's not really about the forums at all, or even about making changes with the theming system, it's about the fact that CF/W lack developer input to improve the platform as a whole. As my initial post mentioned, there are MANY things that have been suggested as improvements on the CurseForge.com ticket tracker, along with some bugs and usuability problems but at present it feels like nothing is being addressed.
Things feel half-finished in general. For me personally getting an updated subscription system is painfully important as the current incarnation is poorly designed and doesn't leave me feeling in control. Unless some developer time gets allocated in this direction that's not going to change any time soon.
Development on CurseForge/WowAce (CF/W for brevity) has become stagnant and there are many features and improvements the communtity would like to see. While ckknight was actively working on CF/W the platform was becoming increasingly feature-rich and more usuable however that appears to have ground to a halt with ckknight being relocated to a new project.
From the poll posted on the 3rd of August 2009, at time of writing the votes and averages for several suggested features (in average score order) are as follows:
3.656 - Repository Brower - 253
3.500 - Viewable download counts - 266
3.444 - Better subscription system - 232
3.137 - Commit message ticket interaction - 211
2.955 - Per-project forums (optional, of course) - 246
1.732 - Non-English localization of site - 168
The repository browser request was first made some time in march in ticket 347. Download counts were also request in march in ticket 227. Improvements to the subscription system were also suggested in march in ticket 307 and many subsequent tickets.
There are also 178 open tickets on the CurseForge.com ticket tracker at time of writing along with many more on other CF/W related projects. These don't appear to be being addressed and are just one more sign that the project has become stagnant with no developer interaction. In addition to the suggested features/improvements made you'll probably notice that the forums STILL look nothing like the rest of the website with the introduction of themes, so the site ends up horribly disjointed for anyone that uses both the forums and the main website.
I can only speak for myself, but I hope other members of the community are behind me in impressing that CF/W need desparate attention so that the platform we all use can continue to be maintained and improved. I can't help but feel that CF/W is going to fall into the same fate of wowdb, left to ruins because developer time is being assigned elsewhere.
Yeh, as HeadCount isnt localized in zhTW it's quite probable that HeadCount is getting the zhTW zone name from WoW and trying to use that to look up zone/instance info which wont exist as it's not translated.
