Greetings Authors!
This is a quick reminder that on 3/1 (March 1st, 2018) we will be switching exclusively to Twitch Authentication. You will no longer be able to login and navigate CurseForge without having first merged your Curse account with a Twitch account here on CurseForge.
We have noted that many issues are arising from users unintentionally creating new accounts by logging in with Twitch and for one reason or another not completing the merge process. If you have a Curse account, please start there! It’s a much easier process to login with your Curse account and merge a Twitch account to it. This is the recommended way as you can see below:
Merging your Account
If you already have a Twitch account, this is very straight forward - but the same general instructions appy if you do not.
- Log out of CurseForge to clear any session/cookie information.
- Log in with your Curse account on www.curseforge.com
- You should be prompted with a screen asking you to merge - select “I have a Twitch Account”
- If you do not have an account, select the other option and you will have the ability to create an account on the spot.
- Once authorized, you should be returned to CurseForge. Grats! You’re done.
If you have any problems during the merge, don’t panic! Submit a ticket to https://support.curse.com and we will help you get your account squared away.
We’ve been preparing to take on any extra support load to assist with issues as they arise. Please feel free to reach out to us on Twitter (@CurseForge) or put in a ticket if you have any issues merging your account or have other questions regarding the merge process.
We’re here to help!

The major Minecraft 1.13 was released a month ago. Even though I have pointed this out to the Curse team directly, we are still not able to select this as a version for published resources. Is there any hope for this ever being addressed?

With the bloatware of the curse launcher and the proprietary nature that curseforge is beginning to have I would suggest to either mirror your mods onto a cheap VPS with a cheap domain or pray that curseforge doesn't become the next sourceforge
Honestly adware/malware will probably be bundled into the launcher a month from now, maybe even the mods themselves
I'm disgusted that you people decided to go corporate with your modding and honestly it's just a huge shame for the modding community in general

Having a major issue with Twitch. Over the last several days, every time Twitch opens, it goes through this update process. It gets stuck on file number 297.
IF it happens to actually get past that point, the Twitch opens but never connects. I have these four rotating/blinking cubes that just sit keep going and going. The program NEVER opens.
I've gone back to manually downloading my mods as I don't have time to sit around waiting for one program, that is suppose to be useful, to open.
I suggest that someone needs to tweek some code.
good one
So Twitch is becoming the Microsoft of Wow Addon sites too. Doesn't matter much except I have to log in here to leave error/bug reports and the fricking log-in goes into a catch-22 circle of re-logging over and over.
hmm very nice article and informative one

How do I change my username from danielplaystv101 to a different one? I have changed my name on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/EnglishDanGB) and it isn't syncing with CurseForge.
